When you tap Search in Deal Reaper, you're not just running a query—you're opening a dedicated Search Results screen built for browsing and comparing. No more committing to a single suggestion from a dropdown. You get a full-page grid of top matches, each with an image and SKU, so you can scan, compare, and tap only when you're sure it's the right shoe.
We've just released this new Search Results View in the app. Here's what it is and why it matters for resellers and collectors.
What Is the Search Results View?
The Search Results View is the next step after you type in the search bar. It's not the small suggestions dropdown under the search field—it's the full-screen screen that appears when you tap the Search button.
The flow:
- You type in the search bar (e.g. "jordan 1 ban").
- A suggestions dropdown appears with live matches (product name, SKU, optional thumbnails).
- You tap Search instead of picking one suggestion.
- The app navigates to the Search Results screen.
- You see a "Top Results" header and a 2-column grid of cards: image, product name, and SKU.
- Tapping a card opens Shoe Detail (full market data, sizes, conditions, charts). When you go back, you return to the Search Results screen—not the search bar—so you can try another result without re-searching.
Same flow whether you're on the main Search tab or in Add to Portfolio: one consistent, predictable experience.
Right Shoe, Every Time
Product names can be nearly identical. "Jordan 1" has dozens of colorways; a list of text alone can lead to the wrong tap. The Search Results View reduces that risk by putting image + product name + SKU on every card.
- Images – 120pt-tall product images (with fallbacks when no image is available) so you can visually confirm the style.
- SKU pill – A small pill with the SKU (e.g. 844700-001) so resellers and collectors can confirm the exact style at a glance.
That combination—see it, read it, verify the SKU—means fewer wrong picks and more confidence before you open full shoe detail.
Built for Browsing and Comparison
The screen is built so you can see more before committing:
- "Top Results" header – Shows your query in a clear, branded card so you always know what you searched for.
- 2-column grid – Lazy-loaded, with consistent spacing so the list feels fast and easy to scan.
- Staggered appearance – Cards animate in with a short delay so the grid feels responsive instead of popping in all at once.
- Back behavior – Returning from a shoe detail brings you back to the Search Results list, not the search bar. You can try multiple results without typing again.
So instead of "pick one from a list," the experience is "which of these is the one I want?"—better for discovery and comparison.
